To ensure that they could continue to help hundreds of beagles, hounds and other vulnerable dogs every year Beagle Rescue Victoria Inc. had to update their facilities to meet their local council’s new requirements.
With so many unwanted litters coming into care Cairns Animal Rescue knew they had to do something different. They recently reached out to us about teaming up to run a desexing program in the Laura and Coen communities in far North Queensland where there was a dire need in the community.

Running a foster-based rescue means understanding dogs' personalities and behaviour from the get-go is of the utmost importance.

Most people would be sad but for me, it’s more about the amazing feeling when you get to see the dogs go to a family you know will treat them well, and there’s always another doggie who’s looking for a foster.
