Sydney Dingo Rescue exists to assist both wild-born dingoes and captive/pet dingoes who have found themselves homeless and in need of help. They work not only in New South Wales but across Australia working in conjunction with councils and shelters interstate in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory to help dingoes in need.
Last year we awarded a Buddy's Grant of $15,000 to Sydney Dingo Rescue for a new transport vehicle and it's been hard at work!
We recently got an update from the team after a very long journey dropping off two newly adopted Dingoes into their new home at the Billabong Sanctuary in North Queensland.
Their whole trip took volunteers 5 days and was over 60 hours of driving and they couldn't have done it without their new Ute! The vehicle has also been critical in improving their day-to-day operations from adoption meets, rescue operations, towing their trailer to pick up food and building supplies for their sanctuary.
