When a dog or puppy needs urgent care and all resources have been exhausted, it often falls to rescue organisations like DM Rescue to do what they can to help these animals in need.
This sweet 11-week-old pup, Gracie, broke her leg after an accident and found herself at the vet with few options.
Luckily DM Rescue were able to step in after responding to an urgent call from the vet, to help Gracie get the specialist surgery that she needed to fix her leg and get back to being the playful pup she’s meant to be.
We were able to donate $2,000 towards her surgery costs and the amazing DM Rescue community came together to donate the rest!
Once Gracie had time to heal, she really came out of her shell, being a very social girl who loves everyone she meets - human and dogs alike! She quickly learnt her basic commands and mastered "sit" very well, especially when there was a SavourLife treat involved! Gracie is a playful girl who is full of beans ,and you would never know that she had suffered any trauma early in her life.
Recently we received an update from DM Rescue that Gracie had fully recovered and had been adopted into a very loving family ready to give her everything she needs to thrive.
