This is just one of the special stories that came about as part of this initiative!
The hard working team from Tiki Animal Rescue put their hands up to save beautiful boy Wilbur from the pound, and as you can see from the photos, thankfully it didn't take them long to turn his frown upside down and bring out that big happy smile!
With such a sweet character and those rock star looks, it didn't take long for Wilbur to catch the eye of a long time Tiki supporter and he soon headed off on an adoption trial with a difference! We're happy to report that Wilbur's trial went very well and he is now the official pub dog of Lass O'Gowrie Hotel!
This handsome boy is going to be an ongoing face for both Tiki rescue dogs and also rural pound dogs, and we think he makes the perfect ambassadog!
We know that Wilbur and his family will be telling all their customers about how wonderful rescue dogs are and encourage them to adopt their next pup! Just make sure you're prepared to rub his tummy on arrival!
